SMK Seri Pekan Vs Bukit Jalil SS Bilateral Series, 19th-21st January 2018

The Bilateral Series between Bukit Jalil Sports School and Seri Pekan Secondary School was conducted from the 19th – 21st January 2018 at the grounds of Seri Pekan Secondary School. The teams were scheduled to play 50 Overs format on the first and second day, and the T20 format on the third day.

Seri Pekan Secondary School team consisted of Muhammad Muqris Nasir, Muhammad Aiman Che Puzi, Muhammad Zulfika Ahmad Nizam, Nazmi Fadhli Salih Hudin, Muhamad Dinie Ifwat Zainal, Muhammad Ikhwan Ramli, Nazmi Fadhlin Salih Udin, Khairul Azmi Ahmad, Muhammad Nur Irfan Dzul Halmi, Umar Abdul Aziz Ghazali, Muhammad Khairullah Remon Shaiful, and Muhammad Shafiq Aikal Shahrom.

Players for the Bukit Jalil Sports School were Muhammad Hazriq Azmir, Dharmendav Kumaran, Wan Amirul Zulkarnain Wan Azman, Ahmad Akmal Alif Zainal, Muhammad Shahid Adzli, Muhammad Nuh Aiman Addin Pasavathi, Muhd Luqman Nur Hakimi Irhwan, Darwish Izz Fariss Kamarul, Iman Shah Mohd Tajul, Zulamry Mohdin, Muhammad Adam Hakimi Ramli, Lokman Nur Hakim Sahar, Vijay Unni Suresh Unni and Hairril Anuar.

On the first day, the 50Overs game started with Seri Pekan winning the toss and electing to bat. Seri Pekan won this match by 72 runs. Highest runs were attributed to Nazmi Fadhlin Salih Udin who gave 52 runs before bowled out by Vijay Unni, and also by Muhammad Zulfika Ahmad Nizam who scored 35 runs before bowled out, again by Vijay Unni. The game saw 210 runs from 298 balls for Seri Pekan. In the second innings, SSBJ Ahmad Akmal Alif Zainal made the highest runs at 30, and was bowled out by Amirul Alif Hazaludin of Umar Abdul Aziz Ghazali, and the last fall of wicket (Muhammad Amir Asyraf Khairon Nizam) at 138.

The second day match was cancelled due to rain, but the boys had much fun on the field.

The T20 match scheduled for the third day was changed to 10 overs due to weather. Bukit Jalil Sports School won the toss and chose to bat. In the match, Bukit Jalil won by 29 runs. Highest runs were scored by Wan Amirul Zulkarnain Wan Azman at 28 for 26 balls, and Muhammad Shahid Adzli, who made 26 runs for 21 balls. The first inning ended at 68 for 2. The second innings saw Muhammad Muqris Nasir and  Nazmi Fadhli Salih Hudin making the highest runs, 11 and 9 respectively to contribute to the overall score of 29 runs for 37 balls.
