Young Malaysian female cricketer is making her mark in Australia. Elsa Hunter who is now 15 years old first played International cricket for her birth country, (Kuala Lumpur) Malaysia when she was 13 years old. Elsa who now resides and studies in Western Sydney , Australia has been selected in the New South Wales (Australia) cricket academy over the last 3 years and has again been selected in the NSW U16 Academy for 2020/2021.
She is also on the short list as a reserve for the NSW U19 female squad. Elsa was Parramatta Womens Cricket player of the year as well as Female Cricketer of the year at The Hills Sports High in Seven Hills , Sydney. Elsa is really looking forward to next season where she will be playing First Grade in NSW Premier Womens competition against the likes of Alysa Healy, Ash Gardiner, Nichola Carey etc. when they are not playing for Australia or their WBBL teams.
Elsa is 100% looking forward to again representing Malaysia where she says it was a very proud time as well as invaluable experience and hopes to help Malaysia get into the top 10 teams in the world. |
