For Immediate Release Without Prejudice Malaysian Cricket Association Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) 13th April 2025 The Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) held an Extraordinary General Meeting in accordance with the requisition by its members through the constitutional process and was agreed upon by the Executive Committee of the MCA. The Hon Secretary had sent a letter officially on 22nd March 2025 calling for the Extraordinary General Metting to be held on the 13th of April 2025. The first requisition calling for an Extraordinary General Meeting was made on the 6th of February 2025. 13 states affiliate members and 1 associate member attended the Extraordinary General Meeting. At the EGM, the President and Deputy President who was the subject of the requisition, resigned from their respective positions as announced directly to the members themselves. The President and Deputy President announced their resignation before allowing for the due process that would have given them a fair opportunity to address the members with regard to the requisition and take any questions / clarifications from its members prior to an official voting process. he Hon Secretary, Treasurer and three committee members tendered their resignations thereafter. The members of the MCA recorded their thanks to the former President and former members for their services to the Association. -END- |
