MALAYSIA HEADS TO THE HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL T20i SERIES

Malaysian, Kuwait and Bahrain and host nation Hong Kong are all geared up to participate in the upcoming HK International T20i Quadrangular Series scheduled to be held from 8 March 2023 – 12 March 2023.

Malaysia’s national men’s team will kick off the series taking on Kuwait at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground where all matches will be played and telecast globally.

The team has been training hard and are resolute in their effort to bring home the cup. Cricket history tells us of the long-standing ties between Hong Kong and Malaysia which dates back to 1886. It was a mainstay on the cricket calendar, even prior to matches organised by the Asian Cricket Council. Malaysia sees the advent of this HK International T20i Quadrangular Series as one of many more tournaments to come between the two countries.

President of the Malaysian Cricket Association, Mohammad Iqbal Ali, Kassim Ali, expressed joy stating “I am indeed excited to have the team participate in this T20i quadrangular series, and naturally, I hope to see Malaysia give their best and triumph in this series. On this note, I wish Cricket Hong Kong a successful run in hosting this inaugural cricket tournament. Iqbal Ali added “Given that all matches will be live streamed globally, this, will definitely be a great opportunity for all the young players to showcase their talent”.
